- Support for Windows 7
Starting with Helen 2.2 Windows 7 is now a supported platform.
- Support for Mac OS X
Starting with Helen 2.2 Mac OS X is now a supported platform.
- Helen 2.2 comes bundled now with JRE 1.6_16
Helen is available in different packages. The install packages with bundled Java Runtime Environments (JRE) are coming now with the JRE 1.6_16. Such packages exists for different system architectures and operating systems:
• Windows Family (Windows 7, Vista, XP)
• Mac OS X
• Solaris SPARC
• Solaris Intel
• Linux Intel
There is also an install package without bundled JRE available.
JavaHelp 2.0_05 is included.
- Shortcuts
There are a few new shortcuts (using the <cmd> instead of the <ctrl> key on Mac OS X):
• <ctrl> + <b> in the editor view: bold
• <ctrl> + <i> in the editor view: italic
• <ctrl> + <u> in the editor view: underline
- Stylesheet editing
Stylesheets can be edited in Helen directly now.
Simply click on a .css file in the project view on the left. When a html topic file is reopened or if
you switch from WYSIWYG to code view and back you can see the changed appearance immediately.
- Navigation
There is a "edit topic" entry in the context menu of TOC, index and map items. Therefore you can very
quickly start to edit the corresponding topic html file in the editor.
- Improved WYSIWYG
When using stylesheets the font sizes are much closer to the original now.
- Fixed Problems
During PDF export the first image on a new page was scaled if it was tested to fit on the page before.
